April 2012 -
All three Richmond Eye Optical
locations, Innsbrook, Mechanicsville, and Midlothian, began
providing state-of-the-art "high definition" digital lens surfacing
on its Essilor progressive "no-line" bifocal lenses.

February 2012 -
The Mechanicsville office of Richmond Eye
Associates underwent a major renovation and expansion. With
the new unified waiting area and patient examination area, there is
less walking for patients and there is improved handicapped access.
Richmond Eye Optical at Mechanicsville also underwent expansion and
renovation.

January 2010 -
Dr. Bryan Brooks now offers the
Crystalens®
intraocular lens implant at the time of cataract surgery to help
reduce the need for reading glasses (presbyopia) after surgery as
well as correcting the distance vision.

Lasik and PRK are offered at Richmond Eye
Associates by Dr. Bryan Brooks. He is fully trained to use the latest
technology available to give you freedom from glasses or contact
lenses. Using state-of-the-art laser technology, which includes CustomVue™ Lasik to improve vision, many patients may see better
than they ever could before surgery, even with their glasses or
contact lenses.
Dr. Brooks offers complimentary eye examinations to evaluate whether
or not you may be a candidate for Laser Vision Correction. If you
are interested in having Laser Vision Correction to free yourself

2007 - Richmond Eye Associates offers state
of the art
intraocular lens implant technology for the correction of presbyopia.
These multifocal lens implants include the
AcrySof®
IQ
ReSTOR® lens implant and the
AMO TECNIS Multifocal
IOL.
Astigmatism can also be corrected using toric lens implants such as
the
AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL at the time of cataract surgery.
These lens implants are used by Dr. Bryan Brooks and Dr. Alan
Chandler of Richmond Eye Associates.

2007 - D. Alan Chandler,
MD began providing free eye examinations to underprivileged
individuals at the Aylett, VA Saint David's Clinic on a monthly
basis.
