Malcolm Magovern, M.D.
Malcolm Magovern M.D. is a Board Certified ophthalmologist (American Board of Ophthalmology) with fellowship training in Corneal and External Disease. Additionally, Dr. Magovern specializes in small incision cataract extraction with lens implant and the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Magovern performs comprehensive eye examinations both of a routine nature, as well as for diagnosing and treating eye disease.
Dr. Magovern has served as the Medical Director of the Old Dominion Eye Bank in Richmond, VA since 1990. He served as Chief of the Ophthalmology Service in the military. Dr. Magovern has acted as Instructor for Corneal and External Disease Courses for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and has several publications related to Corneal and External Disease.
