David W. MacMillan, M.D. is a Board Certified ophthalmologist (American Board of Ophthalmology) specializing in small incision cataract extraction with lens implant, medical and surgical management of glaucoma and diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eye. He performs routine comprehensive eye examinations, and examinations for contact lenses.

Dr. MacMillan has served as Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia. He has also served as Chief of the Medical Staff at Richmond Eye and Ear Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Old Dominion Eye Bank in Richmond, President of the National Society to Prevent Blindness, President of the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology.

Dr. MacMillan has retired from the practice of ophthalmology, and is no longer accepting appointments.  Former patients of Dr. MacMillan are welcome to see any of the other ophthalmologists of Richmond Eye Associates, at the office location most convenient to them.  Please call 804-270-0330 to arrange an appointment.
