Harold A. Bernstein, M.D.
Harold A. Bernstein, M.D. completed a
Fellowship in Glaucoma with Allan Kolker, M.D. in St. Louis after a residency in
Ophthalmology at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. He completed
an internship at the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. He received his medical
degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine of Detroit, Michigan. He
is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Bernstein has served as Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy.
Dr. Bernstein is a Board Certified ophthalmologist (American Board of
Ophthalmology) specializing in the diagnosis and management
of glaucoma utilizing medications, lasers, and surgery. His interests also
include cataract surgery with lens implant.
He is a member of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, Virginia Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons, and the American Medical
Association, among others. Dr. Bernstein has hospital privileges at Stony Point
Surgery Center.
Dr. Bernstein is seeing patients at all of our office locations, including our
Innsbrook office, Midlothian office, and our Mechanicsville office.
